I am an autistic and queer student, currently studying Digital Media Design at Winchester University. I am passionate about accessibility and am hard-working and very creative. I have knowledge of social media marketing, experience in content creation and social media management. I want to help companies to improve their online accessibility and make a positive change in the industry.
I am self-motivated and very driven. As part of my business BTEC course, we did a marketing unit in the first year. This motivated me to learn as much as I can about the marketing industry so I have participated in different online courses, attended webinars and connected to marketing experts within the industry whenever possible.
I have had experience working in various roles, especially in marketing and design. This experience includes working as a marketing assistant for Teens in AI, a company that helps get young people involved in STEM through various events that they run. I was in this role for several months at the start of 2022. This role consisted of content creation of social media posts and their newsletter as well as social media management. Prior to this, I also worked with NameSwitch, running their Instagram page, helping with content creation and building up a network on behalf of NameSwitch with wedding photographers. In addition to this, while volunteering for my youth club during secondary school, I would also help them create promotional assets such as posters for their upcoming events.
Alongside my marketing and design work, I have also had a number of customer service roles. This includes working at Sainsbury's, Weymouth SeaLife and Purbeck sports centre. This has provided me with invaluable communication skills and gave me a chance to develop my teamwork skills.
As part of my creative work, I have taught myself photography as well as website design following my passion from GCSE Media. As a result of this passion, I decided to study digital media design at Winchester university.
My website is still in development and there are a couple of exciting features coming in 2023- my article with Steve Northam regarding NFRID chips being used for accessibility purposes; mobile menu and optimization; and of course lots more exciting work coming including some very exciting collaborations!
